These pages will be dedicated to demonstration of profiles of different cortical areas, measured after segmentation of cortical sections. Segmentation was performed using the algorithm, described in the post “Nissl-stained sections segmentation using algorithms of Mathematical Morphology”.
Profiles were registered for volume fraction, numeric density, specific surface and mean section area (“size”) of segmented cellular elements. List of areas will be periodically updated and profiles could be changed in the future, if better segmentation techniques would deliver improvements of the results.
